This week our class learned about Community Helpers and we began thinking about the kinds of careers WE could have someday. I shared with the students that when I was in kindergarten I either wanted to be a gymnast, an illustrator, or a teacher. Some things were meant to be! : )
We brainstormed ideas of careers that we could have and created a thinking map:
Each child drew a picture of their future job and labeled it with words. We later used these cards to graph our future careers. Please visit our graph in the hallway outside our door to see all of the jobs we want to have someday!
We will have a very diverse and successful bunch of workers someday!
We will have a secret agent...
a cupcake baker...
a dentist...
a dirt bike fixer...
and an astronaut!
